It’s perfect for the kids to play withI bought this for my 5 year old who's dream is to be a doctor someday. My 5 year old, and I love this kit because it comes with SO much, and it is well worth the money. The only downside to this kit is that the blood pressure monitor broke after like 2 days of playing. I could understand it breaking if my 5 year old were being rough with it, but that wasn't the case. It literally just fell apart. Overall it's not a huge deal because it does come with a lot of other stuff, and it still is worth the money for any little budding doctor.Updated:I initially wrote a review indicating that I wasn't happy with this product, but after seeing how much my niece loved this toy and playing with it along with her, I have completely changed my mind about it. I am impressed with the sounds the stethoscope and cell phone make and she couldn't be happier with it. Although the toys don't necessarily look exactly like the actual doctor's tools, they are perfect for a small child who can't tell the difference anyway and who appreciates the bright colors and lack of sharp edges. Additionally, it has in fact kept her entertained for countless hours. My opinion was already changed prior to the manufacturer reaching out about my complaints, but it was nice that they took the time to do that as well.Previous review:This is a decent toy for really young kids who don't know any better. Unfortunately, all of the tools aren't very well-made and it's honestly difficult to tell what each is supposed to be. They really don't look anything like the actual tools that a doctor would use. Any kid above two years old wouldn't be entertained for very long.**If my review was helpful to you, please click the “Helpful” button below, thanks!I looked at many doctor sets before settling on this one. In a nutshell, I'm not entirely happy with it, but my daughter and her friends love it. So it gets 3 stars.Things my daughter likes:* The glasses (I have no idea why, but having "doctor glasses" is a huge hit with her and other three year olds)* The cough and heartbeat noises that the stethoscope makes* The "doctor telephone"* There are lots of parts with lots of options and nothing is too complicated to use. They seem to particularly like the bp cuff, the scalpel, the scissors, the clamp, the bandages, and the eye thing.Things I like:* Most of the items seem relatively sturdy (except the bp cuff--more on that below)* There is a wide variety of items, including many not found in other doctor's kits (scalpel, scissors, clamps, bandages)* The plastic bandages are brilliant--perfectly sized for stuffed animal limbs* It has a case, which keeps it contained and lets her tote it around* My daughter and her friends like it and play with itThings I don't like:* While I don't worry about the pieces breaking, they are not particularly well made/molded* The case is very difficult to open/close and the latches are losing their function over time.* There are some aspects of the way the toy functions that are not ideal. The thermometer has a rotating dial to change the read out (which is cool) but the readings are kind of nonsense (why not just red yellow and green?) The BP cuff has only a tiny dot of velcro, which makes it very difficult to fasten.* The BP cuff is one of the kids' favorites, but it is not long for this world. The velcro dot has fallen off, which means that it must be held shut (not a huge deal--they couldn't really close it before), and the squeeze ball is made of very thin plastic, which is not going to hold up to three year old love.* There are three parts of this kit that make noise. My daughter and her friends love all of them. I hate them so much. I hate the heartbeat/cough noise from the stethoscope that my daughter loves so much. I hate the beeper. My daughter doesn't even know that the cell phone could make noise, because it was the worst of the lot and I took the batteries out of it before giving it to her. I don't know why this has to make noise.* Cranky point: the sticker on the front of the case showed a boy playing with the kit, rather than the cross shown in the picture. I would have preferred the cross. All of that said, she loves this kit. So I'm not going to be replacing it any time soon. And I didn't uncover anything that I would have preferred. I just wish that someone made a higher-quality set that I would love as much as she does.ETA: Over a year later. This kit is still a huge hit with the kids. Most parts of the kit are still in very good shape. Surprisingly, the latches on the case are still with us. They are still bad at their job, but they haven't broken yet. I wish the kids could operate the latches themselves. As expected, the BP cuff fell apart soon after my previous review. Fortunately, the kids haven't missed it.It’s a great toy my four year old loves it and plays for hours at a time with her dolls and am also one of her patients ???. I love how she is so creative and wants to learn about health and how every piece is used by doctors but she know these are toys.Gave this as a gift to my 2 1/2 year old relative . Her mother tells me she plays with it almost daily.. Her favorite part is the little cell phone, she carries it with her everywhere..The product came quickly and on time and in the cute little box pictured above. It has plastic inserts that each toy comes in but it's not something I would keep for storage because it's so flimsy...so all of the pieces just get thrown in the box which isn't really an issue to me. The box is sturdier than I expected though and we may end up using it for something else down the line.My daughter is 20 months old and loves Doc McStuffins so I figured this would be fun for her. The pieces are all appropriately sized and there's nothing too small I have to worry about her choking on.The beeper, cell phone and stethoscope are all battery powered (cell phone does not come with batteries though, 2 AAA) but the stethoscope only works some of the time which again, doesn't really bother me or my daughter but it's why I'm giving this 4 stars and not 5 stars. It's supposed to make either a coughing noise or a heartbeat noise but the coughing kind of sounds like giggling (my daughter thought it was laughing, I had to tell her it was coughing lol). The blood pressure cuff doesn't fill with air but when you squeeze the pump the dial spins around which my daughter loves! Although you do kind of need to squeeze hard and it barely fits my wrist but fits her arm perfectly. The bandaids fit her great as well, and can bend a little to fit mine. The thermometer has a little dial you can spin as well with the degrees in F and C. The shot is spring loaded and fun for my little one to press (although it does take her two hands at this point in time lol). Everything else is very child friendly and honestly great for any child interested in doctor stuff or even to become less scared of the doctor. If my review helped you please click the button that says "helpful"! Thank you so much :)This is OK but not amazing. Some parts are a bit flimsy and will break fairly easily. Learning resources toys are usually really good but I felt this was expensive for the qualityWe were given a dr. kit that was just a few pieces and not very realistic, and consequently my daughter didn't even touch it. I believe that children appreciate toys more when they are a higher quality, and this dr. kit is one of the best and most complete I've seen for the price. My daughter loves this one and plays with it all the time. I have been pleased with the Learning resources brand in general and would recommend.Granddaughter loved it and still plays with it whenever she can. What fabulous box of fun. Well made, lots of lovely noises which the children love. Bought for my 2 year old grandson but played with every day by both children....with any obliging adult, teddy or dolly. Best present bought this Christmas.Arrived quickly. Bought as a gift so not opened and inspected properly but looks good . Quite expensive though but im sure child will be pleased
