They are double-sided,they are colorful shapes,cardboard it is a good puzzle for a child to put shapes in place recognize colors and shapes would recommendGreat item for hinge school activities. However, not for every day useThere is nothing “thick” about these pieces. They will be chewed and spat within minutes by any child younger than 6 and pose a real choking hazard. I was hoping these were at least plastic or as thick as plastic but they are no thicker or bigger than a dime and are flimsy cardboard. And my package wasn’t giftable at all as it was used. I was under the impression I was buying new. I do really like the card. I’ve been searching for shape cards with and without outlines but the pieces are not even worth trying to have my toddler use them. First time I’ve ever been disappointed In Learning journey. I’ll be returning.My son enjoys playing with these! For some reason I thought they were magnetic, but are not. It's hard for him to put them perfectly in place at 3, but he has fun trying!This is a great puzzle/shape sorter/geometry challenge toy. There are easy cards, intermediate and then some that my hubby and I had to collaborate on to complete. The box serves as a way to teach little ones to sort by color. The pieces are sturdy and vibrantly-colored. The one thing that would make this game better, would be if the cards and pieces were magnetic so that they stay on the card better. However, some of the products I saw that are magnetic aren't nearly as cool with the number of shapes and depth of challenge for many ages.The pieces are thick cardboard covered in a sticker or paint. They don't appear durable. I'm not a fan of the purple and would have liked all primary colors. The cards are fine and are obviously made for different levels- some have the shapes to match up with and others are for the person to fill in. They were even a little tough for me. The shapes material are what brings this product down.Has many unique shapes to keep my son entertained for hours.Lots of varietyIt is a simple and fun game. With several groups of different templates.Ideal to learn geometric shapes and their combination.The only drawback I find is that the pieces move with any movement. I would like the pieceshave magnets. Then it would be perfect.A very colorful and attractive method to help kids learn shapes and fractions. There are tiles of 4 different colors with 22 tiles in each color along with 17 cards printed on either sides with some designs stating with basic shapes to more complicated ones. My son loves playing with these. The small issue I have has been mentioned by most which is that the tiles do not get fixed so by the time the last tile in a card is placed, atleast 2-3 earlier tiles get displaced. Only thing that I don't like is that both the sheet and the pieces are so smooth, so the pieces get disturbed easily when the work is going on...
