3 year old granddaughter LOVES this sand from this brand.. better than others we have tried the Only thing to be careful is that it will stain cloth..Clothes ..table cloth..bed sheets (if they play with it on their bed) rugs.. make sure to put something down to protect surfacesMy son is getting older and this is a most only thing you will play with other than his Legos he really enjoys itI bought for a little preschool friend and we played together multiple times! Digging, scooping, telling stories all the while with this fun kinetic sand kit.Mini beach at homeDaugther enjoyed it very much. Good amount of sand.I'm probably late to the game, just now realizing how awesome kinetic sand is. My kids love it, 2 and 5yrs old. Its a good amount of sand for the value. We can use some of the smaller sand molds from a beach kit and play dough molds with it. The bag is resealable, so you can continue to store it.This lasted for a long time.We wanted kinetic sand for our children, and this sand with a few little toys was virtually the same price as a bag of sand by itself.The little toys are fun enough as molds for little sand castles and such. The box is a little disappointing as a little sandbox. I know we live in an age where a tiny plastic container could cost several dollars by itself, but that would make it a far better toy. Additionally, despite my immense care in opening the box, the glue ripped off some of the outer layer of cardboard so the little sandbox is not pretty enough for us careful perceived l perfectionists. Anyway, I can't imagine using an unsealed cardboard box to store kinetic sand, so I put the sand back in its original bag and we'll just buy another plastic bin to use as the sandbox.If you haven't given kinetic sand to your child and you're a first timer with this stuff, I recommend a plastic container that can be used for both play and storage. Kids have a hard time containing the stuff and you will probably have to clean up a little if your child is younger than 7 years old, but it's not so bad. I'd buy this product again and recommend it, though it's not spectacular. Try to wait for a sale price or just get a bag of kinetic sand and add your own little toys and molds.Think some people look at the "Sand castle" on the front of the box and think there is allot of sand included. There is about 3 1/2 cups, box states 3 pounds which is what you get, however the picture of the castle on the box must have at least 2 1/2 times that much, so if the box showed a castle made with the amount of sand in the box then people wouldn't complain as much. Anyhow I did the math before I bought so I had an idea how many cups 3 pounds were. Its enough to have a fun play time with all the castle molds. Love the sand because it DOES NOT stick. The sand also comes out of the molds quite well. Also the sand is interesting to look at when you move it in your hands. Will def buy Kinetic sand again and will stick with this brand. Make sure you keep it in a airtight bag to preserve its freshness. Love it. Going to get more colors too.You know those memes, “tell me you have kids without telling me you have kids”? Finding this sand in your butt crack....MY butt crack. The sand was everywhere.Bought this for my kids to play in their new water table. Little did I know, that was the worst idea EVER. The sand got everywhere, my kids had it all over their hands, hair, floor, pretty sure I ate some.Yes, maybe playing next to water wasn’t the wisest idea. You know at a beach when water gets wet, it kid of sticks together? (Should be easier to clean then right?) NO. So much worse. We washed and it was like superglue. A weird residue. DO NOT GET IT WET....that’s what she said ;)I tried to preserve it and put it in a Tupperware and add a few Scott towels to absorb. Still crap. OH and tryyyyyy to get it all out of wherever you decided to play with it; you will still find specks.Save your sanity and buy your kids play-doh. Or real sand and play with it outside. This stuff is overpriced demon droppings.My 3 year old loves his outdoor sandbox so i decided to try kinetic sand for inside on rainy days. He enjoys it, as the sand is fun to touch and molds well into shapes. It’s really easy to clean Which was a huge selling point. The box it comes in isn’t ideal, I bought a flat clear tote with a lid to store it in. Also I recommend purchasing an additional 3lbs Of sand as the 3lbs of sand it comes with isn’t quite enough.The sand does hold together as per the pictures so you can't build a structure. For example, by the time you stand the second tower, the first tower is starting to fall. It's different and I would give it credit for that but novelty wears off fast and kids don't play as you you can't build as per picture. I bought at regular price. Would recommend if goes on sale.2.5 stars. We have had this stuff for two months now, and we left it in it’s original box, maybe this is where we went wrong. Now however the kinetic sand has become sticky (and I don’t just mean to itself) its everywhereeeeeee. My living room floor feels like someone didn’t take a shower after a long walk on the beach… the worst feeling ever. This could be our error of course for keeping it in the box but either way it’s pretty gross and I wouldn’t buy it again.
