This little guy is s adorable! The pieces seem sturdy enough. I have not put together yet..I REALLY WISH IT WASN’T MADE IN CHINA! I thought is was made in France.Adorable gift for my granddaughter on her first birthday! Very well made, easy to assemble and far nicer looking than I imagined. I love that we can choose Rocking or scooting as my wee lass grows!We ordered 3, we started putting one together to find the base busted and the mounting bracket busted/broke. Thank goodmess for a handy husband. The product is adorable, just disappointing and it's for ChristmasI was so excited to order/receive the Giraffe Rocking Horse with Wheels for my 1 year old's birthday present. I had read online about how it comes in two pieces - the top plush portion and the bottom rocker/wheel portion. Before I bought it, I did note that there are a couple of negative reviews which all said the same things: the wood that they use is VERY soft, which can cause splitting when assembling the two pieces together and that sometimes, they do not drill the holes so that the top piece and bottom piece align. The result is that it is impossible to assemble.I took my chances and when I received the first one, I opened it to find that TWO sets of holes had been drilled into the top piece. One of the sets of holes aligned with the bottom piece's holes, but because the hole that aligned seemed VERY close to the edge of the wood - I have this one pictured - the wood split as soon as I tried screwing it together. I was so upset, I barely screwed in the screw AT ALL! The screw was MAYBE 1/4 of the way in! I certainly hadn't screwed it in too tightly to cause the splitting.So, I ordered a replacement and crossed my fingers. The replacement arrived and had only one set of holes drilled into the top portion but did not, and could not, align AT ALL with the bottom piece. If you even tried to screw one side together, the bottom piece's drilled hole was INCHES away from the wood on the top portion. It was, just as described in some of the negative reviews, literally impossible to assemble.I actually thought about giving it a third try - I can't tell you enough how GORGEOUS the top piece is and how it would be SUCH an amazing rocker if it could be assembled - but I can't bring myself to do it. I totally missed the mark in giving it to my son for his 1st birthday (the day has come and gone by now), and I think I would rather buy another brand and not chance it. The whole experience was honestly heartbreaking.But if you do decide to take the chance, and get a top and bottom piece that align and doesn't split when assembled, I am positive you will have an absolutely beautiful rocker.I have been obsessing over this for my son, finally decide to buy it and it comes like this. Am I missing something here?? I’m so upset but also livid. The screw holes on the wood does not match up with the toy at All! What am I supposed to do now? I love it, I wanted to have it for his birthday party. Now I have to return it and hope they can send it back to me with a correct match on the screw holes?! I hate that I was wanting this so bad and this happens when I finally have it. Never have had such a bad outcome from ordering something on Amazon.Also too pricey, in my opinion. But I finally talked myself into buying it and this happens. Great.Update: My sister LOVED this rocker!! My niece just drooled on it...LOL. But it was a hit on Christmas day. I have been deemed "Auntie of the Month"! (Smiley-Face) Also, So Easy to assemble, took all of 4.5 minutes and is very sturdy as well as adorable.My niece is going to love this when she is old enough to sit up and rock in it. (She's only 8wks old) I had to buy this, her mother has her room made up with zoo animals and the giraffe rocker will go perfect with the decor. This is a Christmas gift so when my sister opens it I will update!This is a cute quality product. This is the second one I have bought ( Dinosaur and Giraffe ) and have no complaints. Make sure you align the holes to connect the top and bottom or you will have a good chance of splitting the wood. I need a Unicorn or wheels for my next granddaughters first birthday which this company does not seem to make.Extremely pleased with this purchase. In unserem Fall die Giraffe! Sieht genauso aus wie auf dem Bild ist toll verarbeitet super weich und in ddn Haaren ist Knisterfolie eingearbeitet. Der Mechsnismus zum Schaukeln/Rollen funktioniert super- so hat man noch lange Freude daran!
