This corded phone toy was recommended to us by our child's speech therapist. It's now the favorite toy in the whole house and is getting her talking so much, loves to say love you bye! And hang up. There are a few preset voices that answer the phone and ask a question like Tommy, the librarian, your teacher. The ringing is loud but we don't care ✌️?Love the volume control, love the prerecorded messages from different people in the community(librarian, teacher, etc). Absolutely love that you can program a telephone number into the phone and record a message. Bought multiple phones. Great for kids to learn family member’s numbers in case of emergency. Only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is because I wish you could program more than one number and message at a time.As I mentioned in several other reviews, I have wasted a lot of money (unfortunately) this holiday season. I hope I learn for next year. This was NOT a waste. The Disney Princess phone I bought before this one was a waste. I bought that one thinking it was somewhat educational. It wasn't. So, I bought this one. Really, four year olds (even four year old Princesses) don't need a pretend phone with recordings of pretend Princesses. They really can use this phone, though. It's a great teaching tool. Most households today have several different phone numbers-- in our home, we all have cells (except for my little one), and then we have the landline we rarely use. This is the only deficiency I see with this phone. It would be cool if it were able to recognize several numbers and if everyone in the household with a separate number were able to record a message. Unfortunately, you can only record one message at a time. Your child learns to call the phone number and if she dials correctly, she hears a previously recorded message from either Mommy, Daddy, or whomever made the recording. Once she learns this number, we'll go on to the next phone number.Additionally, it's a great tool to teach 911 use. And, coincidentally, sometimes my husband teases her and pretends he's a zombie (this is in FUN, she laughs-- it's not scary). Anyways, when he did this the last time, she immediately called 911 on this phone and said, "Help! My daddy is a zombie! Please help!" So, needless to say, this is one of her favorite things to do now. She thinks it's absolutely hysterical.I bought this with the Learning Resources Cash Register which is, in my opinion, also an excellent toy-- even better than this (if you're only going to buy one and can't decide). Now she puts them both on the table, and plays "work". She runs a store and gets on the phone occasionally as she handles all her customers. It really is a fun thing to do and both of these toys are so realistic and of very superior quality.I can't recommend this toy highly enough. My daughter immediately asked me if this was real when I gave it to her. I said it's not real, but it would teach her how to use the real phone. She was thrilled and really enjoys learning how to dial the numbers on her own.My 4 year old loved this. A good way to learn phone numbers. This is a great toy, My son is learning our phone numbers with it.Love that this phone has volume control. Love programming messages! Wish the voice came from receiver but that’s ok. Great toyGot this for my 3 year old son for Christmas. It was a show stopper. The moment he opened it, he forgot about all of the other presents he had received up to that point and played with it exclusively for about a half hour. We haven't even played around with programming phone numbers or recording messages yet - he just loves pressing the speed dial buttons and making calls to the default, pre-programmed "people."It should be noted that you can only program one number and record one message at a time - this is something I was not aware of until I received the product and read the instructions. It seems like you should be able to program more than one number and recording since it comes with several default speed dial recordings. This isn't enough to take away a star, however, and certainly doesn't diminish the enjoyment my son has been getting from it.My 4-6 year old nieces and nephews can’t stop playing with this phone! I programmed a few phone numbers into the phone and when they dial the numbers, a message that has been recorded plays. They absolutely love recording new messages and hearing themselves on playback! The volume adjuster is TERRIFIC since many toys are just plain loud and the volume can not be adjusted. Batteries came with it so it could be played with right out of the box! It feels very well made and the sound is sharp. Highly recommend! This is a hit! It’s a great toy, just wish it had volume control! But it’s ok!Lo eh regalado mas de 3 veces..... y simplemente los niños quedan encantados por su tamaño, su sonido, todo......The item was disappointing, very few recorded messages, does not allow much user interaction, wrong emergency number for Australia, receiver does not transmit sound.Me gusto mucho lo conseguí a muy buen precio y esta muy bonitoBought this for my 2 year old son and he loves it, it’s now one of his favourite toys.
